English National Ballet's (ENB) Dance for Parkinson’s programme is based on the Company’s classical and contemporary repertoire. Regular classes explore the themes, choreography and music from the ballets and incorporate dance, vocal work and live music. The programme has an integrated cultural offer, giving participants the opportunity to see performances, meet the artists and attend special events.

The programme is underpinned by research studies conducted by Roehampton University. Findings revealed that ENB’s programme is proven to support people living with Parkinson’s to develop confidence and strength, whilst temporarily relieving some participants of symptoms in everyday life. Classes are expressive, creative and promote feelings of freedom from the physical and social constraints of living with Parkinson’s.

ENB's Dance for Parkinson’s model is delivered in London, and nationally in collaboration with regional hub partners: National Dance Company Wales based in Cardiff, DanceEast in Ipswich, MDI in Liverpool and Oxford City Council.

ENB is proud to be part of the Mark Morris Dance Group Dance for PD membership programme and to work in partnership with People Dancing and Dance for Parkinson’s Partnership UK. ENB’s programme is supported by Parkinson’s UK and the European Parkinson’s Disease Association (EPDA).
